A Celebration of Product Design during the Luxembourg Design Festival 2025
3 min read
The 2025 Luxembourg Design Festival featured the product design exhibition Panorama, highlighting the evolution and growing visibility of product design in Luxembourg.
Alongside 20 other Luxembourgish designers and a selection of students from Lycée des Arts et Métiers, Metaform’s espresso cup Möbino found its place among an inspiring range of creations. The exhibition presented chairs, trophies, clocks, lighting, a bicycle, jewellery, coffee tables, eyewear, a coat rack and many other thoughtfully designed objects, offering a broad overview of contemporary product design in Luxembourg.
The vernissage was held on the 10th of November 2025 at 62, rue Strasbourg. The evening was marked by a speech from curators Julie Conrad and Ruth Lorang, who advocated for greater visibility, recognition and support for designers in Luxembourg, reinforcing the importance of strengthening the local design community.
Celebrating Luxembourg’s Emerging Product Design Scene
Panorama celebrated Luxembourg’s product design scene and offered insights into Luxembourg’s emerging design community. Product design in Luxembourg remains an emerging discipline that continues to take shape, supported by a steadily expanding community of designers.
Bringing together 21 works by designers from across Luxembourg, the exhibition formed a true panorama of approaches.
It highlighted the growing role design is beginning to play within the country’s cultural and creative landscape.
For Metaform, it was a pleasure to see Möbino presented alongside so many talented designers and to contribute to this important moment for product design in Luxembourg.
Möbino: Design, Craftsmanship and Community
Möbino is the result of a meaningful collaboration between community and technology, uniting design and craftsmanship in the heart of Luxembourg.
Following the design process at Metaform, each espresso cup is carefully formed, crafted and glazed by hand at Ateliers Kräizbierg in Dudelange. This cooperative operates eight workshops that provide new skills and professional opportunities for people with special needs.
All proceeds from Möbino benefit the Kräizbierg foundation, further supporting its social mission.
Where can I buy a Möbino cup?
The Möbino espresso cups are available at the Fondation Kräizbierg store in Dudelange and occasionally in selected stores throughout Luxembourg. Availability may vary, so stay informed for future announcements.
