Rethinking architecture as a space for reflection

On Tuesday, April 28, our architect Jackie Ley represented Metaform at the Paperjam 10x6 Next Gen, alongside other young architects who shared their visions, projects and thoughts on the future of architecture.
During the evening, Jackie spoke about her journey at Metaform and about the importance of building a new generation of architects with sustainability at the core of their practice.
She also presented the DAR group within Metaform, an approach in which architecture is seen as an interconnected collaboration between different disciplines, where the focus goes beyond simply building and embraces the responsibility and purpose behind each project.
Through several case study projects developed within the office, she showed how each project is an opportunity to learn, to question our methods, and to keep improving from one experience to the next.
We would like to thank Paperjam for the invitation and all the participating architects for this inspiring evening of exchange.
The evening highlighted how this next generation of architects is no longer focused solely on designing buildings, but also on experimenting, collaborating and questioning the discipline, showing that there is not just one path to move architecture forward, but many different approaches.
