AI July 2025 - 31 days of discussion and exploration

In July 2025, Metaform launched the social media initiative "AI July" to open up a conversation about AI in architecture.

For 31 days, we explored how artificial intelligence intersects with our profession: its potential, its limits, and its future.

Over five weeks, we covered five key topics:
Essence & Identity – Who we are with AI
Tools & Boundaries – What we use and why
Value & Impact – How AI changes practice
Ethics & Risks – What we owe, what we lose
Legacy & Action – What comes after, what comes today

We approached the topic with curiosity, creativity, and care.
It’s a fast-evolving topic, and finding the right balance between enthusiasm and critical distance is essential. We believe this is something to test, question, and explore continuously.

This initiative was created to spark new ideas, raise new questions, and inspire ongoing dialogue.
